Goan motorcycle diaries: day 2

Rented an Avenger for 350 a day. Cushy passenger seat with back support.
Left our backpacks behind and took only necessities. (Swimsuit and camera!)

We insisted on helmets for both of us, lest we end up having to bribe the po-po to let us go without a ticket. (Later in the afternoon when we stopped to ask for directions from a pair of policemen, I spotted a foreign guy, also with a motorbike and talking with the police, and he was pulling out a thick sheaf of rupees from his wallet… Gee, I wonder why?)

We set out from Arambol and intended to explore central Goa for the day before finding a place to sleep. Focused on Old Goa, Panjim, and the central coastline.

Ended up wasting a whole chunk of our afternoon just trying to secure a train ticket from Goa to Udaipur, but eventually we bought tickets for a sleeper bus to Mumbai, then another from Mumbai to Udaipur.

Settled in Anjuna for the night and had the BEST hot shower.
